Supervisor


SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisor is responsible for overseeing crew members, cleaning assistants, temporary workers, and contractual personnel.

WORK PERFORMED:
Plans, organizes, prioritizes, schedules, coordinates, assigns, recommends hiring, termination, discipline, and evaluates the work of subordinates and contractual personnel; provides training, as needed. Assures that proper safety standards and precautions are followed. Supervises, plans and directs project coordination of manpower, materials, equipment, services and utilities for building maintenance and facilities cleaning, and construction clean-up. Interprets blueprints/plans, calculates project materials, tools/equipment needs and writes specifications for purchasing requirements, bidding, and accessing cleaning costs. Assures adequate supplies materials and equipment are available to crew; orders as needed. Prepares and maintains records for weekly and monthly reports; prepares reports; prepares time records for payroll purposes. Inspects completed work; assures that work is completed properly. Ensures that equipment is in proper working order; oversees preventive maintenance on equipment; recommends purchase of specialized equipment. Prepares cost estimates on proposed projects. Performs related duties as needed or assigned.

PARTIAL LISTING OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school and two years progressively responsible experience in commercial cleaning, construction clean-up, and/or building maintenance. Thorough knowledge of practices, methods, equipment and techniques pertaining to commercial cleaning, building maintenance, and/or construction clean-up. Thorough knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to building and facilities. Considerable knowledge of effective supervisory methods and practices; ability to plan, organize, schedule, assign and evaluate the work of subordinate employees; and train/counsel subordinates. Ability to use and operate the tools and equipment of the commercial cleaning trade in a safe and effective manner. Ability to keep records and prepare reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, contractors and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Excellent work history and attendance record. Possess and maintain a valid California driver's license and an excellent driving record.

Crew Member


Responsibilities:
This is an entry position into the cleaning services jobs of JBE Commercial Cleaning. We will train the employee on the proper guidelines, procedures and proper use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.

Work Performed:
Commercial, construction, and general office maintenance, including, but not limited to: floor scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and sealing; window washing, power washing, and wall washing; trash and debris removal; dusting; cleaning porcelains, stainless steel, and tiles, sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming; other duties as assigned. Specific duties may vary depending on the list of specifications required by the client at each location.

Qualifications:
Residential, commercial, or office maintenance and cleaning experience preferred.
